Teak garden furniture is right for me Part 2

The source of oak in Europe was sold out very quickly. They knew the Chinese Teak vessels are used and how strong they were, after running in them, literally down the street .

The 'British had learned these vessels is inaccessible, that all the elements at sea: sea water, the ocean wind and the sun burns, was found then that Teak was not shocked when they learned affected by fire or artillery fire. This was a very important issue, cutting wood, the most common cause of death in the naval war in the eighteenth century.

Britain was very interested to grow and this wood. The British quickly realized that she does not need to teak, as they could annex those countries where teak is grown and grown a wide selection. India, Thailand and Burma quickly attached the British Empire. Not that that is why the British took over these areas, but it is justified.  Myanmar, India and south of Yangon, the first places where teak is harvested for British ships. Calcutta was set up as elsewhere in British shipbuilding.

All British merchant ships built in Calcutta with Burmese teak logs of construction, said it was the best. If the wood was depleted from India, the harvest occurred in Thailand and Burma.

teak forests are being rapidly depleted. Teak was now the best wood for building boats, yachts, cruise ships and furniture. Although ocean conditions very little wood shrinkage or distortion. This means low maintenance. Wood was also immune to rot and insects such as beetles powerful. The famous liner "Queen Mary" used no less than 1200 tons of teak when built. The British quickly realized that fatigue and was planning a new forest. A leader has been appointed to this new location and began replanting teak trees on what is now called teak "plantations." A series of very strict laws about who can cut was enacted in teak wood and you can buy. If these laws were enacted, they need permission from the British government to cut a teak tree and export.

Teak is also used by local huts, fence posts and furniture. India is the third largest importer of Teak today, behind China and Japan. Up to 70% of the teak wood consumption in India. The wood is now in Sweden for local consumption, housing, furniture, fences, etc. It is a wood that can withstand the monsoons, the stifling heat and humidity. It is the wood, the wood is either compared to others.

Teak contains natural oils and silica , which makes it resistant to insects and rot. These substances help the splendor of the many who care for many years, but is a bit 'hard to meet the manufacturers, since its leaves rather boring.  If many, apart from the English ships of World War II, was taken to the recovery of teak furniture items like benches. Even today in many parts of Europe seen still works .
